Devonshire Fell - Boutique hotel

Devonshire Fell image
Originally a Gentleman's club for mill owners
Originally built as a club for gentlemen mill owners, The Fell Hotel (as it was known) has long served local people and visitors to the Yorkshire Dales. The Devonshire Fell is very lucky to have one of those rare locations in Yorkshire where the beauty of the local area is simply breathtaking, with stunning views across the River Wharfe, the Yorkshire Dales and the village of Burnsall.

The hotel was renamed The Devonshire Fell Hotel & Bistro when it was bought by the Trustees of the Chatsworth Estate on behalf of the family of The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire in 1998, as a sister hotel to The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel in Bolton Abbey.

Having completely refurbished the property, which re-opened in July 1999, The Devonshire Fell is startlingly different from the original Fell Hotel, as indeed it is from anywhere else in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Duchess of Devonshire has chosen bright contemporary colours for the interiors, creating an exciting boutique country hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. Every room enjoys the Devonshire Fell's trademark - spectacular views of the Yorkshire countryside.
