Brilliant anniversary stay!

Amy, Wiltshire, stayed: January 2019

We had a wonderful stay at Audley Woods for our anniversary.

When we called to book our table for the dinner deal we mentioned it was our anniversary and when we got to our room we had a lovely surprise of choccies!

The room was lovely and the food was brilliant! Customer service was brilliant too from both the hotel and off peak luxury!

Thanks for a lovely trip!

Our one night stay was amazing and just as romantic as our wedding three years earlier. The food was fantastic from afternoon tea through to breakfast. The room was large and great and the grounds beautiful.

Mark R, Dorset, stayed: November 2018

The customer service displayed by the staff we came into contact with was outstanding and a credit to the manager/owners. The only two things that weren't up to scratch was the room service and the shower arrangement. We stayed for two nights on a champagne and chocolate weekend. The room was pleasant and clean, however after one night of staying we left the room in morning with the bed having been slept in and the curtains one pulled across and the other open. When we came back to the room late afternoon, the bed was just about made but no effort to make it look nice and the curtains left in the same state, this was only slightly disappointing. We both considered the shower to be dangerous on exiting the shower, it could do with a grab handle to assist you getting out safely.
The other thing to mention is that I booked this as a surprise for my wife, as it was a champagne and chocolate weekend, I told her we were going to a travel lodge! On arrival we were greeted by a very nice man called Darren who explained the whole experience of the champagne and chocolates, I should of nudged him and winked before he told my wife that she would love the chocolate and fruit. Nevertheless the hotel was lovely, the food was well cooked and hot. The breakfast sausage wasn't up to much. I would definitely stay again and like I said, the staff were a credit to the manager and owners.

A Friday Evening Away.

CS, North Yorkshire, stayed: October 2018

A drive through surrounding woodland to this country house hotel, once the home of a Reading brewer, found ample carparking. The reception and lounge, leading to the dining room in high roofed 'conservatory,' full of old world charm. Staff extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room very clean and well fitted out with Kingsize Hypnos Beds for a good nights sleep ! Food in restaurant most enjoyable both at Dinner and Breakfast with efficient waiter service. A stay we much enjoyed.
