The Great Western Grill
A delectable à la carte menu awaits, offering traditional favourites, meats, grills, steaks, house specials, fish and shellfish. Dishes range from dressed Brixham crab salad to red wine braised oxtail cottage pie, and poached native lobster with truffle macaroni cheese.
The Great Western Grill is designed in the art deco style, an era of elegance and fine living. Candlelight, hand-painted chinoiserie wall coverings and immaculate service will surround you. The Restaurant offers a superb atmosphere in which to relax.
The focus is on flavour, using the most decadent produce available, to enabling a mix of traditional and innovative cooking techniques.
A Bovey Castle speciality and one of the most civilised treats in Britain, indulge your taste buds with our delicious Afternoon Tea in Devon. Tuck into freshly baked scones, delicate sandwiches and other homemade sweet treats, served alongside fine teas poured in china cups. All Afternoon Teas can be enjoyed seated in the Great Western Restaurant. Scrumptious Bovey Castle Afternoon Tea in the countryside – just as it should be.
Dress code is smart casual, no shorts, sportswear or trainers. Children must be 5 or over to dine.
Opening Times
Breakfast is 7.30am – 10.30am
Lunch is from 12.30pm – 3.00pm – all week in Smith's Brasserie
Sunday lunch is from 12.30pm – 2.30pm in the Great Western Grill
Afternoon tea is from 1.00pm – 4.00pm
Dinner – Smith's Brasserie last orders is 6.30pm except on Monday & Tuesday when the last orders are 9.30pm (on these days there will be the usual menu plus a 3/3/3 of Great Western dishes).
Dinner – Great Western Grill, 6.30pm – 9.30pm Wednesday – Sunday evenings.
From 1st November and for the duration of winter the Great Western will only be open Wednesday-Saturday. Sundays - Tuesday dinner will be in the the Smiths Brasserie

Smith's Brasserie
The informal Brasserie offers a menu throughout the day, from coffee and pastries to dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. Ideal for a snack, lunch, plus there is a special children's menu for hungry ones on the go.
Opening Times
