History of the hotel
Built 1480 – former home of Elphinstone family (related to the late Queen Mother). Situated within the estate where Mary Queen of Scots surrendered herself to the Confederate Lords in 1567.
Child Policy
To accommodate a family in the guest bedrooms, a foldaway bed will be provided. Children are charged £60 per child (aged 16 or under) per night including breakfast. Should you require a cot, please ask at the time of booking.

The grounds
Built over a period of more than 500 years, Carberry Tower stands proudly within its own 35 acres of private estate parkland. With tree-lined driveways, sweeping lawns, landscaped ponds and meandering walkways it offers a unique guest experience. Look out for the parkland deer, pheasants and other wonderful wildlife, they also have a renowned collection of splendid trees which were planted over the last 300 years and contain some of the most celebrated varieties within the United Kingdom.

Classic room
With fascinating vantage points and views over the estate grounds, the elegantly appointed en-suite bedrooms evoke a warm and welcoming ambience. Many still have their original fireplaces and working shutters, and all come with complimentary White Company toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, mineral water, wall-mounted televisions and hairdryers, as well as built-in safes for life's little precious things
Executive room
For those who prefer an even more generously appointed room, en-suite Executive Rooms are the ideal choice. Many are double-aspect with far-reaching views over the estate grounds, and all have comfortable seating for two and room to relax. All include complimentary White Company toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, mineral water, wall-mounted televisions and hairdryers, as well as built-in safes for life's little precious things.
The majority of these executive rooms can be transformed into a twin single layout – however availability of this must be checked prior to booking.
Grande suite
Why not spend your break staying in the very rooms where The Queen used to sleep as a child when visiting Carberry Tower, or where her sister Princess Margaret often played with their governess in what used to be the Day Nursery.
