Carnoustie golf and spa hotel

MS, west lothian, stayed: February 2019

The hotel was situated in an excellent spot. The suite we stayed in had a fabulous view but I found the bed far too small. The hotel was great but for us too noisy... guests in the corridors shouting and being boisterous, the noise continued after midnight and we could hear the racket coming from a room/ rooms. The sound proofing is clearly not very good.
Both the dinner and breakfast was very good and the staff attentive

Great short break

CP, East Dunbartonshire, stayed: February 2019

Our group had a very enjoyable stay. Rooms were comfortable, food was good and we were fortunate enough to be dining on St Valentine's night when Chloe Foston was entertaining guests with her wonderful rendition of Carpenters' songs and many others. Being in the dining room we didn't see her but we were so taken with her wonderful voice we sat on long after we had eaten. She is a waitress in the hotel and deserves a special mention.
We stayed at The Carnoustie last year and were delighted to see that many of the staff were still employed there. This speaks volumes about staff conditions. They are a very friendly bunch of people and make the stay most enjoyable.

Good value for money

Anon, stayed: October 2018

Hotel was lovely with welcoming friendly staff. Room was spotlessly clean with a great view of the volf course. The housekeeping staff were excellent and kept the room spotless. We had our evening meals in the restaurant and the food was generally very good. Breakfast was lovely and they served the nicest black pudding I've ever tasted. Overall we had a lovely 3 days in a lovely hotel with canny staff.

Hot Rooms!

BD, Peeblesshire, stayed: August 2018

A pleasant stay but with no air conditioning the rooms got very hot at night: window could open a certain amount but there were very heavy curtains either air and a lot of light or darkness with stifled air. All staff extremely pleasant.
Restaurant menu not varied enough for people staying several days.  Package deal didn't all ' to ask about newspapers every day and finally got one on last day. Rooms did overlook golf course side of hotel, but a higher floored room may have given a view past the spectator stands which blocked everything completely.
Signs on the beach area explained that they had been building stands and marquees for the open since March, and were dismantling and removing them until the end of August. Maybe your website should also have pointed this out.
