Parking Facilities
Free guest parking and accessible parking is available within the courtyard area.
Regrettably, Danesfield House does not currently have Electric Vehicle charging points at the hotel. However there are EV charging points just 5 minutes away in Marlow town centre at Pound Lane Car Park.

Disabled Access
The hotel has one fully accessible room on the ground floor with a walk-in shower, please call to check availability.
Please note that the lift is out of order until further notice.
There are no rooms in the main house with a walk-in shower.
History of the hotel
Danesfield House that we see today was completed in 1901 as a family home for Robert William Hudson. The house is the third property to have been built within this glorious setting, amidst 65 acres of formal gardens with outstanding views over the River Thames and the Chiltern Hills beyond.
Child Policy
Children are welcome in selected rooms. Childrens beds are charged at £65 per night (5-16 years) on a bed and breakfast basis. Cots are provided free of charge.
There are three dedicated Family Rooms within the hotel. Each room contains a Queen sized bed as well as a double sofa bed. Please contact us to check availability of Family rooms.
Children are welcome to dine in the Orangery.
Children aged 5 and over are allowed in the swimming pool at the following times and must have adult supervision:
Weekdays - 2pm-5pm
Weekends - 8am-9am and 2pm-5pm
Under 5's are not permitted in the swimming pool.
Dogs Policy
There are two pet friendly Superior rooms and 1 Junior Suite available at Danesfield House Hotel.
A charge of £25 per dog, per night is applicable.
Dogs are permitted in pet friendly guest rooms and can be walked around the grounds on a lead.
Guests on a dinner inclusive package are unable to dine with their dog as dogs are not permitted to enter the main restaurant or spa areas.
The grounds
The impressive tree-lined drive of Hornbeams under the Clock Tower is the first magnificent display of grandeur that greets guests arriving at Danesfield. 65 acres of woodland and formal gardens surround the house. An on-going project to restore and renovate the formal gardens began in 1989 and continues to this day. A variety of beautifully tendered and most unusual plantings now flourish and can be found surrounding the property. Many parts of the house's exterior is covered by a masterfully pruned Wisteria, flowering in a purple cascade during May and June. When walking on the terrace you will see exquisite towering Yew topiary and box hedging filled with varieties of English and French Lavender, of which there are five different varieties within the grounds. Central to this formality is a three tier fountain, a cherubim standing on an oyster shell tops the magnificent centre piece.

Classic room
Classic Rooms are individually furnished with a traditional style. Twin beds may be requested but cannot be guaranteed. Classic Rooms are located within the main house and the nearby courtyard with a variety of views across the property.

Superior room
Superior Rooms are larger in size with varying views of the grounds. Four legged friends are welcome to stay in selected ground floor rooms. Superior rooms are located within the main house and the nearby courtyard with a variety of views across the property.

Deluxe room
Deluxe Rooms are individually furnished for a truly authentic country house feel with views of the River Thames and the Chiltern Hills beyond. Twin beds may be requested but cannot be guaranteed. Deluxe Rooms are located on the first and second floor within the main house and all have a bath and overhead shower, they are accessible via stairs only.

Junior Suite
An oasis of luxury awaits guests staying in one of the uniquely designed Junior Suites, with a lounge area and spacious master bedroom. Twin beds may be requested but cannot be guaranteed. Junior Suites are located within the main house and the nearby courtyard.
