Fantastic
Our stay at Doxford Hall was fantastic. Great location. The staff were very welcoming, rooms outstanding. Dinner was absolutely delicious with a great menu as was breakfast. We would definitely stay again.
Nice stay
Very nice hotel and had a nice stay.
Room really good but the only slight downside was shower, both temp and pressure pretty poor, though a member of staff suggested it was a known issue and a plumber was due ?
Spa shut earlier than others I ve been to.
Restaurant and bars/lounges very nice and great gardens for a stroll

A pleasant stay at Doxford Hall
We have stayed at Doxford Hall a number of times and always enjoy it. This visit was arranged through offpeakluxury and came with some welcome extras such as a room upgrade, a glass of Prosecco on arrival and a later departure time.
Our room was generously proportioned, as was the ensuite bathroom. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Our only gripe was having to request robes and slippers.
We didn t have any spa treatments on this occasion, but enjoyed swimming in the pool.
Breakfast was excellent and our dinner was fine.

Lovely hotel
Me and my newly Wife went to stay at Doxford hall, it s a lovely place to stay, I d definitely stay again we only stayed for 3 nights, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
What a find - a hidden gem
We ve been very fortunate to stay in many excellent hotels throughout the world; however, the Doxford Hotel and Spa is without doubt the best we ve experienced.
The building and grounds are immaculate- I couldn t find a tired room or location inside or out. The Grace Darling room we were allocated was beautiful and spacious - huge bathroom, good shower, very comfortable bed - really lovely.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and very efficient.
Having said all the above, the icing on the cake was the food. We originally only booked an evening meal on one night but having sampled both lunch and dinner on day one, the reservations were cancelled in favour of staying in the hotel. I can only think that those who scour the world to award Michelin Stars haven t found this place yet. The food was exquisite - the range and depth of flavours a joy to behold. They even managed to make the humble grilled tomato and mushroom (served with the fillet steak) taste spectacular. If like us you enjoy food, you ll love this place.
The location is certainly remote but half way between Bamburgh and Alnwick so plenty to see and do. If the weather had been bad we d have been happy spending an afternoon in the library alone.
The Spa was fully booked so can t comment on that but the facilities were clean and comfortable as far as we could tell.
We loved our stay and will most definitely be back.

We had a lovely wee break although I was hugely disappointed that the spa wasn t available because the treatment rooms were being re floored. I managed to book treatment at Linden Hall while my husband had a game of golf at Dunstanburgh Golf Club.
