Good But ??
Fantastic House Room was good ,clean modern and had every thing you would want. Staff really friendly and helpful however a little more knowledge of the menu when bringing dishes to the table would be good ,at times got flustered when trying to describe the dish We had the tasting menu and wine paring which was fantastic , however the wine for the forth course arrived before the food for the third ,35 minute wait between courses should not happen Breakfast was fine lots of choice and good quality Very Covid aware and not an issue with procedures On checkout charged for after dinner drinks we did not have ,but without question deducted the relevant amount Will not take much for 5/5 but just not quite as it should be for the price
I have stayed in many Country Hotels and The Goldsborough Hotel is one of the best.
Stunning location, lots of history, luxurious and elegant decor .
The tasting menu was sublime and a nice touch having the Chef and serve and explain
The menu for a number of the courses
Very friendly and accommodating staff
A perfect escape from the everyday challenges of life. The staff seem to get a genuine pleasure out of being helpful and welcoming. The food was exquisite. We could not have been happier.
This hotel is a must the staff the food the whole experience is perfect .
This was our second stay in the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. My only complaint would be that, although I had advised in advance that I have Coeliac disease, there were no gluten free cereals or sausages on offer which I think is a little disappointing, especially for a hotel of this calibre.
Our stay was a gift. We had the most lovely experience. Food was delicious. It was understated luxury. The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable. I have booked to stay again already
