Excellent goumret break

Anon, stayed: March 2025

Superb food in lovely hotel. Spacious comfortable rooms. Lovely grounds to walk around. Quiet and relaxing. Only complaint was the rather worn mattress! Third stay so not enough to put us off.

Great except for taster meal

John B, Lincolnshire, stayed: January 2025

The staff, building, history and friendly ambience was lovely. What let it down for me was the tasting menu. Most food was covered in some sort of very rich sauce which took away from the taste of the food. Having said that the 2 sweets were excellent. I don t think I would have the wine flight again. It didn t hit me apart from the Polish white wine.

Failed to meet advertised and therefore expected standards

Anon, stayed: January 2025

Initial welcome was dreadful. Taster menu and restaurant staff very good. Breakfast dreadful and had to be returned. Suite was cold and cheaply furnished. Suite was not as clean as expected.Overall overpriced for a disappointing and substandard experience.

Goldsborough Brilliance

Isobel, Leicestershire, stayed: October 2024

Goldsborough Hall is quite possibly the most beautiful place we have stayed. The welcome received was warm and friendly. We had a lovely tour introducing us to the elegantly restored residence.
There is nothing quite as nice as fresh milk in the fridge for the tea/coffee tray!
Fine dining is a wonderful description of the meal we enjoyed.
Without a shadow of a doubt we will be back once the kitchen garden is flourishing again!

Excellent but...........

Robert, Staffordshire, stayed: September 2024

Excellent in every way but let down by the lack of attention to detail in the bedroom. Badly stained carpet and cushions. 4 poster bed curtain hanging off rail. Light bulbs blown. Unacceptable in hotel of this standard and price.

Family celebration

EP, West Yorkshire, stayed: August 2024

We booked six rooms for a family celebration and the six course tasting menu, we were given a private dining room which made the experience even more memorable, the rooms were beautiful and clean, the food was fabulous and the gardens were beautiful.
