I have stayed in many Country Hotels and The Goldsborough Hotel is one of the best.
Stunning location, lots of history, luxurious and elegant decor .
The tasting menu was sublime and a nice touch having the Chef and serve and explain
The menu for a number of the courses
Very friendly and accommodating staff
A perfect escape from the everyday challenges of life. The staff seem to get a genuine pleasure out of being helpful and welcoming. The food was exquisite. We could not have been happier.
This hotel is a must the staff the food the whole experience is perfect .
This was our second stay in the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. My only complaint would be that, although I had advised in advance that I have Coeliac disease, there were no gluten free cereals or sausages on offer which I think is a little disappointing, especially for a hotel of this calibre.
Our stay was a gift. We had the most lovely experience. Food was delicious. It was understated luxury. The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable. I have booked to stay again already
A splendid country house hotel in a beautiful setting. The ambiance reflected the history of the manor. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was excellent and the rooms first class. The mission statement of providing guests with a fine dining experience in a country house environment fell far short of its objective. Whilst the breakfast menu was excellent, the same could not be said for dinner. The menu choices were limited, the selection and balance for main courses was very poor and unimaginative. For two of the three dinners we experienced the main course selection was poorly cooked and one selection was uneatable. For the three days of our stay the menu remained unchanged. The charging structure for side dishes was also pricey.
