Avoid this tired hotel.....!

This was supposed to be a Superior Double only superior quality was the large, comfortable bed.
The room was decorated in dark dreary colours with a lot of peeling paint. The outside of the window was badly smeared where an attempt (unsuccessful) had been made internally to clean seagull mess from it, The tiny bathroom was badly lit - mainly due to dark, dingy paintwork and dark tiles. The toilet had an immovable dark brown stain at the bottom of the bowl - unforgiveable for a hotel. As for the poor flush - we had to resort to filling the waste bin in the bathroom with cold water .....
We visited with another couple and their room was in the same poor decorative condition. There was not even a dressing table mirror in their room because the TV had been positioned above it!
Very, very disappointed and we will not be returning or recommending.

Such character to this treasured hotel

This hotel has a feel of it being absolutely treasured. It has such character and it is excellently maintained. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The food and food choices were outstanding. We didn t eat in the main restaurant because we had our dog staying with us but we ate in the lounge and bar, both beautiful.

Fabulous welcome

We had a fantastic reception on arrival - the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the prosecco and chocolate in the room, it made our stay seem very luxurious. Good sized room with everything we needed.
Bar staff were friendly, as were the waiting staff in the restaurant.

We have stayed at the Green Dragon many times and will look forward to doing so again.

Good location and friendly helpful staff.evening dinner in restaurant was ok but expensive. Breakfast was ok .scrambled egg was terrible.
