Lovely Hotel

Dawn J, Nottinghamshire, stayed: October 2018

A lovely hotel, very friendly staff, very helpful during the (last minute!) booking process. The highlight of the stay was the first class evening meal. I will definitely stay here again.

One night Stay

Anon, stayed: October 2018

The hotel room was clean tidy and well presented. The bed was hard, but this is not unusual for this type of hotel. The bar and restaurant were very well presented and the ambience was very nice. We were on a meal deal and whilst the food was good the menu felt a bit limited and unadventurous.

Great 2 day break

Paul E, North Yorkshire, stayed: September 2018

The Holdsworth House was as advertised. A classic listed building with historical lineage and famous visitors. The restaurant was excellent, breakfasts and evening dinners were delicious and well presented. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We can definitely recommended a stay here.

Wonderful stay

ER, West Yorkshire, stayed: August 2018

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Holdsworth reminiscing about our wedding day. The hotel is as charming as it was 7 years ago. We especially loved the room with the mezzanine and the champagne!

2 Ngiht Stay Excellent

Margaret F, Cambridgeshire, stayed: February 2018

We used a voucher that was bought for christmas for us to visit any of the Off Peak Luxury Hotels and we chose Holdsworth House which was brilliant very friendly staff very busy Hotel with weddings and parties but didn't seem to affect us.The room itself was very clean and spacious for our needs the only comment against room 31 was the boiler noise and only a large dormer window so no view only of the sky.
The breakfast was ample and very satisfying along with the evening meals.
Would visit again but ask for a down stairs room.

Disappointed

IM, Lancashire, stayed: August 2017

We booked this as an anniversary break. Unfortunately they were also holding a wedding, which would not have been an issue if we had either been made aware of this beforehand or the staff weren't so overstretched. Part of our package was afternoon tea which we had to have in reception so we didn't feel like we were intruding on a wedding party.  The room itself was basic and definitely not luxury.  The restaurant was a redeeming feature, the food and service in the evening excellent, and the breakfast service was very efficient.  All in all it was a nice break but no better than we could have had at any hotel chain as we felt unable to make full use of the facilities.
