We booked a stay here for my 80th birthday and could not fault
The whole experience. The lady on reception was most helpful
even help with our luggage. Five stars all the way.
Luxury weekend
Stayed here for a long weekend and was not disappointed. Service was first class and the room was spectacular looking out over the front garden.
The restaurant food was very special with the tasting menu faultless.
Perhaps some background music would help the ambiance
Lovely dining room, lounge and real fires everywhere.
Would highly recommend
Luxury 2 night stay in January on the edge of Dartmoor. Please send to the Lewtrenchard Manor hotel
Outstanding in every way possible. Food was extremely good and very interesting, the chefs clearly enjoyed creating their particular dishes. Proper home made bread for toast at breakfast was a bonus but coffee was either poorly made or the wrong variety for the water - it had no aromatic taste. A delight to have NO children running around. It was a shame that some of the curtains needed simple repairs which is a very minor point. We were made very welcome by all the staff and any requests were met with style and cheerfulness. We thoroughly enjoyed the country house atmosphere and the very quirky decor and collection of artefacts. The decorating style was perfect - not too over the top or too modern trendy - all was sympathetic to the age of the house. The family history and its paintings made it very much a family styled home, comfortable! AND the Vi-Spring bed was brilliant! Gardens were lovely to walk around the atmosphere was very peaceful.
It was like waking up in a novel!
This was undoubtedly the best hotel we have ever stayed in, the staff were warm and friendly, the food was outstanding. The room was beautiful and bed cosy. The whole stay felt very special, we felt spoilt! The history of the manor was interesting and it was like staying in a national trust house with all the fabulous antique furniture.
Our dogs were also welcomed and spoilt by staff too! Look forward to going back again!
Excellent stay
We stayed one night and had tasting menu with paired wines. An amazing stay to celebrate our anniversary. Food was Michelin starred standard. Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Our second visit and we will be back.
Our weekend away
luxury stay
We had an off-peak break with dinner and B&B. This made it good value, luxurious and interesting place.
Could do with EV charging point.

We had a very enjoyable 3 nights bed and breakfast. The room was pleasant, the hotel an unusual building, with large open fires. The highlight was the excellent food and very helpful staff.
