Charming stay at the Lugger

Alan, Devon, stayed: March 2020

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lugger. We were made to feel very welcome, our room was very comfortable and there were some extremely nice touches - hot chocolate with marshmallows at bedtime, cookies for tea and a hot water bottle to mention a few. Breakfasts were wonderful and service was incredibly quick. We stayed in for dinner each night and the menus were creative and beautifully presented. We had our dog with us and arrangements for him worked very well as he was allowed to be with us in the conservatory which had fabulous views over the delightful harbour. With wonderful walks on the doorstep and Truro, St Mawes and Falmouth nearby, it is a great place for a break!

Local Break

HS, Cornwall, stayed: February 2020

We stayed here for our anniversary. As locals, we have walked past the hotel on many occasions and thought how lovely it looked, so decided to stay there as a treat. It didn't disappoint! We enjoyed a lovely coastal path walk followed by drinks and great dinner with a lovely view.

Relaxing break in a beautiful location in a friendly boutique style hotel

Anon, stayed: February 2020

We stayed at The Lugger in February during some really bad weather. Sadly this impacted our ability to explore the area, although due to the amazing location of the hotel it did mean we had some magnificent views of the sea.

The hotel is very welcoming and was cosy and inviting - we spent two lovely afternoons sitting by the open fire in the lounge drinking coffee, reading and generally unwinding - bliss! Dinner in the restaurant was first class and everything is home made. The desert was memorable for all the right reasons! Delicious!

Lots of special touches such as hot chocolate and a hot water bottle at night in our room, home made fudge with our coffees, home made cakes and biscuits in our room and a leaving pack containing snacks for our onward journey on departure - little things that make all the difference.

We would definitely return to The Lugger, hopefully in better weather to enable us to really enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. Would we recommend this lovely little hotel... absolutely!

NS, London, stayed: November 2019

Overall experience excellent with fantastic views. A small problem with broken radiator in our room but this was acknowledged by management with profuse apologies and we were duly compensated.
