There are two ground floor rooms with a walk in shower situated in the Courtyard. These are opposite the main castle. Please contact us to check availability.

Standing proud for more than 600 years, the magnificent spectacle of Lumley Castle dominates the County Durham landscape.
Child Policy
Lumley Castle has bags of space for youngsters to explore as if knights or princesses from a bygone era.
Superior rooms provide extra space for families and have space to accommodate extra beds. They make a small charge of £20.00 per extra bed, per child, per night including breakfast. Should you prefer a little more privacy, they also have several interconnecting rooms to accommodate larger families or small groups. (Children are classed as 12 years and under).
Children cannot be added to our packages, please contact us if a family room is required.
