Great location hotel with lovely ambiance
We stayed for 2 nights with our Golden Retriever in a ground floor room with easy access to the gardens - the staff were excellent throughout our stay and the catering was first class for every meal! We will return!
Faultless
The staff were fantastic. So attentive and friendly. The room was gorgeous and huge with fantastic light. Everything was refreshed every day (even homemade biscuits). The staff could not have been more helpful and all went the extra mile. The place was spotless. Such a beautiful peaceful location.
The restaurant was outstanding! The food was impossible to criticise in any way. The dishes were all extremely well crafted and presented beautifully. Although a slightly limited dinner menu, it changed each day and we were still spoilt for choice. We stayed for 3 nights so enjoyed dinner and breakfast each day. The cooked breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options. All the food we ate was extremely fresh.
Gourmet Hotel
Wonderful gourmet hotel break.
Very friendly very helpful and nothing too much trouble.
Warm and cosy with a comfortable ambience.
Good and relaxing hotel
Located in a quiet spot, but with Dartmoor all around, this friendly and well appointed hotel, with happy smiling staff, makes for and ideal break, with excellent food and lounge facilities too!

Everything was very good
Wonderful log fire
Loverly small hotel but we were a little disappointed with the food which was focusing more on the appearance than the flavour in our opinion.
Lovely Hotel in Dartmoor
Nestled in Dartmoor, this lovely hotel makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Our Suite was perfect. Restaurant and food were amazing, as was the staff. Lots to do in the surrounding area, walks, attractions and the like or just chill out in front of the large fire in the lounge. Definitely recommend.
Great staff, food and very dog friendly
Lovely venue, roomy car park.Friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. The most dog friendly hotel I ve stayed in. The only problem was the access into the shower, one had to climb into a raised bath on a stool. The bath was quite slippery, not a good combination!
