A very pleasant stay
We had a very friendly warm greeting on booking in. All members of staff we met were helpful and polite. Everything was to our satisfaction and would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family. Thank you very much to all involved.
Lovely break away
The hotel staff were fabulous when there was a problem with our room key which prevented us from gaining access back into our room and belongings. They kept us informed of their progress in sorting the problem and tried their best to make it up to us with complimentary drinks and coffee. The hotel itself was lovely and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel is tucked away but upon arrival it is like a little oasis of calm.
Good overnight stay
Great value and location
Excellent service and staff, breakfast could be more than orange juice and cooked full English,
A nice break
Outside of hotel is lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Upgrade of room as per deal was not offered as stated but to be honest I didn't ask as when I got to the room it was sufficient. It was clean and comfortable. In hindsight though wish I had as due to change to our plans I was in the room longer than I normally would be. Hotel is a little out of the way to walk to anything nice so really need a car to get around. Evening meal was tasty and breakfast lovely. Dining room was Covid 19 compliant so that was good. Sanitiser available on arrival in small reception area. Would I go there again? No purely because it is in the wrong location.
First trip since lock down.
After 5 months being locked down we found the Mosborough Hall Hotel to be a safe and welcoming place. Although the reality of austere settings and lack of soft furnishments were a tad removed from the brochure photographs, we understand why and took them in our stride. We admired the staff for their attitude in what for them must be a very worrying and difficult time.
Breakfast service
Overall breakfast was adequate but found it strange the hotel didn't have any marmalade throughout our stay. I could understand not having any on the first morning but after that they did have the opportunity to get some, even from the local shops! After all it is a basic commodity for any hotel.
Also there was no chambermaid service, which could be due to the Corona Virus but there seemed to be no cleaning regime in evidence at the hotel.
Rooms
Rooms, or certainly the one we had was in need of an upgrade, no feeling to the room, and no real evidence of covid sanitation had happened.
