A delightfull rural experience

James, Dorset, stayed: October 2019

Situated in the middle of nowhere, this hotel breathes calm and relaxation. The public rooms are quiet and luxurious, and our bedroom was tranquil and superbly comfortable. Our bed was excellent, and we could open a window knowing that there was no outside noise to disturb us.
The restaurant was fine, with extremely good food well served by a charming waitress, and alcoholic drink (wine and beer) was reasonably priced.
Altogether a charming experience

Short Break

NG, Hampshire, stayed: August 2019

The hotel is tranquil, and the grounds pleasant. The new spa and swimming pool is first class and a bonus, particularly if the weather is inclement. We stayed in the Tavistock Suite, which was a disappointment. I have written a personal letter to the General Manager with my suggestions for improvement to that suite.

The food was excellent, and the staff polite and helpful. I would stay again, but not in the Tavistock Suite without improvements.

A secluded retreat from the city

PR, Middlesex, stayed: July 2019

The hotel is positioned ideally for RHS Rosemoor and the new spa building is well run. This was our third visit and the hotel is one of our favourites. It's very comfortable, relaxing and the staff are all trained to a high level being friendly but offering excellent service.
The restaurant menu is limited in choice (it's a small hotel) but should have something for everyone and the food it serves is cooked to a very high standard.

great setting

PC, Dorset, stayed: April 2019

we had a very enjoyable stay here for easter weekend
staff are great and very friendly although a couple of issues we had we felt they didnt really know how to handle but this didn't spoil our stay although the food was lovely felt the menu was a bit restricting having thesame every night to choose from also guests having to walk through the dining room when checking in felt spoilt the ambience a little we are eager to return in the future to experience the new spa as it looks amazing and feel its going to be a real asset

Gourmet Weekend

RH, Bedfordshire, stayed: March 2019

Enjoyed a two night stay in March when we visited various friends living in the area. The hotel staff were superb and the highlight of our stay. We enjoyed two evening dinners and food was very good. Will definitely return and the addition of the new spa (under construction) will be a further attraction.
