This is an outstandingly good hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much indeed. The only down comment would be that the quality of toilet paper let the place down.

Friendly and helpful service in a great location

Anon, stayed: June 2019

We only stayed one night to catch up with friends, but would love to have stayed longer.
The rooms were well equipped and comfortable. We had requested a ground floor room, which indeed we were given, but disappointed that we were not warned there were various steps both up and down, to reach the room. The food was excellent, a really good choice both for dinner and breakfast. Indeed, we did not use our full allowance from the dinner menu and the whole luxury break was a bargain and we can recommend the package!

Perfect summer couples break

Anon, stayed: June 2019

We couldn't have picked a better hotel for our first night away since our second child was born. We had gorgeous weather so were able to enjoy the stunning grounds and surroundings, even coming across 10+ New Forest ponies and a deer on our woodland walks. We had gluten free cream tea and a gin and tonic by the relaxing fountain pool. A wonderful swim in the outdoor pool, followed by a quick visit to the other spa facilities, which were small but in good condition. The restaurant was absolutely wonderful. There was a wedding on, so we enjoyed their live music throughout much of the afternoon and evening, which really added to the ambience. Fantastic service, couldn't recommend it enough. Definitely coming back.

Good location run down rooms poor customer service

DH, kent, stayed: June 2019

Pre ordered bubbly in room on arrival, not there, mold in bathroom and on window sill. Bath took 1 hour to run spoke to the reception staff nothing was done, general room cleanliness poor with lots of dust Had to negotiate all the cleaning equipment and linen dumped in the corridors and hallway. Food on the first night very good but only a couple of tables booked second night arrived cold and sent back. Breakfast on the Sunday really poor waited 15 mins for a pot of tea then had cold eggs benedict, just wanted to go by then. They are far more interested in the wedding groups. Weekend couples seem to be an inconvenience to them. Would not stay again. Overall a tired hotel, would not stay again at this Hand Picked location, stayed at others hitch were much better.
