Facilities at Stonefield Castle
The castle was built in 1837 and contains some of the best example of Scottish baronial architecture with much of the original furnishings.
An award winning restaurant is also housed within the walls and gives the guest the best of what is Scottish with locally sourced food.
There is plenty to do at the castle and within a short distance too from spotting the pods of dolphins to horse riding and golf, all can be arranged at the reception desk of the hotel.
Home truths
- Being a castle, some of the bedrooms can be a little bit dark and with high ceilings.
- The drive out to Kintyre can take a while, but our advice is not to rush it but rather set aside time to stop and take in the incredible scenery on route.
