Beech Hill Reveiw
The location & the evening food are the two best thing's about this hotel. You are right on the lake with a jetty & a picnic area to sit on next to the lake or a large veranda leading out from the bar area to take in the panoramic view with a nice glass of fizz. The evening dining is excellent & they do alter the menu slightly every night. The restaurant & bar staff were also very friendly & nothing was a problem .. which unfortunately couldn't be said for the reception staff. They obviously couldn't be bothered with the laundry service (one shirt came back un-ironed & just thrown in a bag), were extremely un-helpful in ordering a taxi & although the hotel was half empty and despite there being a sign up saying book an extra night DBB for 100 they quoted me 250.00 .. which was more per night than I'd paid in the first place!! This hotel is over-priced unless you find good deal's on site's such as OPL. I certainly wouldn't book directly with Beech Hill itself as it will cost you nearly an extra 180.00 per night. I would stay again purely because of the food & the location but only in a premier plus room as they have the french window's, jacuzzi bath & a larger bedroom space.
Lovely hotel. Friendly staff
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times, hence our stay here. The staff are very friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent and we will be returning very soon.
Mid Week Break
We had a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package. The food was lovely and the staff very polite and helpful. Our room was very dated. We had a four poster that overlooked the lake and although it was very clean, it did not seem to have been decorated for years. The whole decoration was jaded and old fashioned. With a bit of refurbishment this hotel could be amazing.
