Facilities at The Craigellachie Hotel

Speyside is the largest whisky region in the world with over half of Scotland's distilleries and the Quaich bar is one of the world's leading whisky bars. With over 900 whiskies lining its walls, The Quaich is the perfect setting in which to enjoy a guided whisky tasting or a modern twist on a classic whisky cocktail, mixed by expert and locally renown bartenders.

Once you've built up an appetite, pull up a chair beside the fire in the hotel's cosy Copper Dog pub for lunch or dinner. The fare is strictly Scottish with produce sourced from Speyside where possible, and our drinks range from local beers, to handpicked Sancerre wine from friend's in the Loire valley, and great whisky cocktails.

Welcome to The Treatment Rooms at The Craigellachie, located in the heart of Speyside – a region which harnesses fresh air, well-being and quality. They have selected Mauli Rituals to give you a range of treatments to compliment your surroundings but also to meet your every need and inclination.

Mauli celebrates centuries-old Ayurvedic tradition for layering, anointing and purifying with sensual oils, healing herbs and fragrant flowers. The Copper Dog Pub

Copper Dog – simply for those who love a great pub.

The little pub is constantly busy with people – both locals and travellers from far and wide. At the copper bar you'll find a selection of beers from local craft breweries alongside the familiar favourite ales and a large cocktail list, full of delicious whisky cocktails. For the table they have a handpicked wine list, with a favourite bottle of Sancerre coming directly from friends' Domaine Philippe & Lynne Raimbault in the Loire valley, France. The Copper Dog's food menu is strictly farm to fork. They serve fresh, honest, local Speyside produce sourced from within a 50mile radius where possible.

They have a crackling wood fire on in the winter, and a large sun-terrace for outdoor drinking and dining during the summer months. They have corner and booth tables, as well as the Grill Room .

The Copper Dog pub is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Live music is every Friday and Saturday night during the Summer months.

The Quaich Bar

The Quaich, founded in 1893, is the world's leading whisky bar. It houses over 900 single-malt whiskies from across the globe.

The Quaich bar's collection which was contributed to by renowned whisky and spirits writer, Dave Broom; author of The World Atlas of Whisky and Whisky: The Manual. It is not only significant in size, but also one of the most interesting in terms of profile. It has sought out the most unique and rare whiskies, some of which are exclusive to the Craigellachie and all of which can be sampled by the glass.

Lyndsey Gray, the manager at the Quaich, is a recognised expert in the world of whisky. Lyndsey is as happy to educate beginners, as she is to guide connoisseurs to new discoveries. Lyndsey creates our best whisky cocktails in the hotel – from Sours, Manhattans to a proper Old Fashioned. Whilst the Quaich is the authority on single malt whiskies, they recognise that taste is subjective. The bartenders will help you to drink whisky in the way that suits your individual palate whether it be alone, with water, ice or in a classic cocktail.

All furniture in the Quaich has been handcrafted by British craftsmen, Soane. The bar itself is lined with a silver band, designed by the iconic jeweler Stephen Webster and produced by Hamilton & Inches, Silversmith's to Her Majesty the Queen.

Quaich: is a traditional, shallow and two-handled Scottish cup renowned for the drinking of whisky. The word means 'cup of friendship' and is derived from the Gaelic word ‘cuach' meaning cup. It is used to toast special occasions such as arrivals, departures and weddings and can be offered as a special gift. In 1589, King James VI of Scotland gave Anne of Denmark a quaich as a wedding gift.

The Quaich is open from Tuesday – Saturday from 5pm till late. A traditional Scottish punch, taken from 18th and 19th century recipes, is served on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Quaich from 6 to 7.30pm.

The Quaich can hold private whisky tastings events or can organise tastings on site at the distilleries.
