Very Happy Guests
A birthday celebration which met all expectations. A lovely choice of Inn/Hotel. A very comfortable bed in a cosy room and all bathroom requirements met.
Unfortunate checkout!
Whilst we really enjoyed our stay, the voucher did not cover the cost of staying at the hotel and we had to pay a supplement. Whilst we were greeted with welcome drinks and reminded of our allowance for food, on checkout the hotel couldn t find reference to our voucher and we were delayed leaving which was quite stressful and embarassing in front of other guests waiting to checkout. The hotel had also given us the wrong drinks bill. Thankfully the hotel must have sorted this issue out as they did not contact us the next day. Our room was small but comfortable and we really enjoyed our meal Breakfast was also lovely. It s a shame that there isn t a lounge to rest in as all the space is taken up with restaurant tables.
50th birthday celebration
We had a fantastic overnight stay here. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome.
There is a really lovely little garden at the back of the property, it is a lovely peaceful spot in a really pretty village. Ample sized car park to the side of the property with an overflow car park to the rear. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped.
As it was a 50th celebration we had Chatsworth biscuits and chocolates in our room courtesy of the hotel with a greetings card which was a lovely touch. The food was really nice and the range of drinks in the bar were also good. I would definitely recommend this for a romantic stay or a base to explore Chatsworth and surrounding area.
Lovely break
Lovely romantic break in beautiful location
Staff kindly quickly posted something we left in our room
Celebrating a big birthday with friends
The hotel was very warm, friendly staff, and a great location for visiting Chatsworth House. Food was very good especially the breakfast as they cooked my crispy bacon to perfection(not many places do!)Room was cosy with a nice view and lovely big shower.
A perfect weekend
What a wonderful way to celebrate a special anniversary. Such a relaxing place in a beautiful part of Derbyshire. Delicious food and lovely rooms, not to mention the friendly staff.
Unfortunate
Luxury break this certainly was not.. The room was miniscule and the evening meal was distinctly average. Sorry but I will not be returning and will certainly not believe the descriptions you put on your web site to describe other venues!!!
