The Munros were shrouded in mystery, but the Lodge was a beacon of welcome.
My wife and I had four wonderful days in the Lodge, even though the weather was wet and wild throughout. However, the welcome from the hotel was warm throughout our stay, from the smile on the receptionist's face, through the supportive and helpful room staff and their knowledgeable and friendly colleagues in the restaurant. Their smiles were a beacon breaking through the Highland's mist,
Our rooms were recently refurbished and so there were some teething problems with the technology, which were speedily resolved by the room staff. There was an excellent view of the Loch from our balcony when we were able to venture out - restful and relaxing.
These words also described the ambience in the Spa, where we were greeted with a smiled welcomed to the well equipped suite of rooms and wide range of treatments
The restaurant provided excellent meals, both breakfast and dinner, with views of the loch on all sides. All meals were of the highest quality, served to us by knowledgeable and courteous staff who tried to resolve the thorniest of dietary issues! Full marks all round.
I would highly recommend The Lodge on the Loch to anyone looking for a all round welcome on the shores of bonny Loch Lomond.
Beautiful luxury room
Was given money towards a luxury stay as a wedding present. Beautiful place, lovely room - absolutely luxurious! Enjoyed ourselves. Staff and service couldn't have been better thank you.
It s was good but nothing more
Hotel was good.
Cleaning staff were excellent. Very helpful and welcoming.
Food was great. Fantastic even!
However, we asked for two sandwiches to take out for our lunch. They said that was fine. It was the most pathetic sandwiches we have ever seen. If I had paid 1 at a garage for them I would have felt robbed. They charged us 24 and got the order wrong. Wow. Incredible. We felt robbed.
When we quietly mentioned this the next day the reception staff thought we were trouble-makers.
We was not happy with this and felt the holiday was tainted by this. This may not seem a big deal. But I would say order two sandwiches and pay 24 and see what you get.
FABULOUS LOCATION
My husband and I stayed in the Carter Suite, it was fabulous, so spacious and luxurious with outstanding views of Loch Lomond from both the sittting room and bedroom and from the large double balcony. Food in the restaurant was excellent and view from restaurant was stunning. Staff at bar were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and great quality.
I have stayed last September and loved our stay, the location is beautiful and Luss itself is charming. Will definitely come back.
What a view
Our room was that close to the Loch you could all most dangle your feet from the balcony.
The food was good quality but maybe not as greater choice as could be.
Very clean room and the grounds were well maintained.
Lodge on Loch Lomond
Fantastic stay at the lodge, we stopped in the corbett deluxe suite, lovely big room and stunning views from our room.
Restaurant food was really tasty and staff were fantastic and always helpful.
Great value for money and would definitely visit again
Pleasant stay
Hotel room with loch view and balcony was lovely. Restaurant and bar were also very nice. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast was ok. We were disappointed not to be able to use any spa facilities without paying extra (cheapest option is 20 for just an hour) considering how expensive the stay was.
