Pre-booking hotel parking is essential. As the car park is located elsewhere, the hotel recommend that guests park at the front of the hotel to drop off any luggage; one of the reception team can assist with directions.

Parking Facilities

There is no on site car park, however there is a secure offsite, self-park, gated facility available, just a 6 minute walk from the hotel.  The cost to park a vehicle is from £10.00 for every 24hr period.  Please contact reception to secure your parking space. Pre-booking essential.

Alternatively, guests can use the train station car parking or other car parks within Henley. 

Disabled Access

Courtyard Rooms are located on the garden level across from the main hotel building, this is accessed via an uncovered brick walkway which is approximately 35 meters from the main hotel building.

There are 2 Accessible rooms both measure 26sqm (279 sqft.) and can accommodate up to two adults. These rooms have wider doorways, lowered peepholes, lowered wall-mounted thermostat, lowered wardrobe rod, lowered sinks, towel bars, grab bars and a roll in shower with fold-down seat. Each room also has its own private outdoor seating space. Assistance dogs are most welcome.

For general access, there is a lift servicing the 1st and 2nd floor giving access to a choice of traditional hotel rooms. The hotel lift is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair comfortably. Most rooms have walk-in showers. 

History of the hotel

Previously The Red Lion Hotel, this 16th century property has been at the centre of Henley-on-Thames for over 500 years, hosting Kings, Queens, and Members of State. From the 1530s when it housed the craftsmen who built St Mary's Church, later hosting King Charles I, the First Duke of Marlborough and a pageant of personalities, The Relais Henley has been part of the social fabric woven around the River Thames, Oxfordshire and England itself.  

Child Policy

Children aged 12 or under can stay free of charge when sharing a room with a full-paying adult.  Cots and extra beds are available in our larger rooms, however, these are limited and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply. Please check at the time of booking.

Dogs Policy

1 dog is permitted in certain rooms and the Deli and Courtyard only.  Dog beds and bowls can be proided on request, subject to availability.  Dogs are charged at £30per dog per night.

Courtyard Rooms are located on the garden level across from the main hotel building with direct views of the pale-yellow early Chantry House, erected circa 1400s, adjacent to St. Mary's Church.
Contemporary and comfortable, they are ideal for those who like easy access to the outdoors without going upstairs.
Due to the age of the building, all rooms are differently sized. On average our Courtyard Double rooms measure 16 sqm. (167 sq. ft.) and can accommodate up to two adults. These rooms have one EU standard size double bed 140cm x 200cm (4.6 ft. x 6.6 ft.).
All duvets & pillows are hypoallergenic.
