A hidden gem

Kim H, Worcestershire, stayed: May 2023

At the end of a country lane, this beautiful hotel has an enviable position with sea views visible beyond the extensive well kept gardens.
The breakfasts were amazing, we also dined in the restaurant and the food was amazing.
A short walk leads to a fabulous beach, it was truly idyllic. I have recommended to my daughter because it was such a safe beach environment

Pleasant, relaxing break.

Michael, Caerphilly, stayed: April 2023

On arriving at hotel the welcome was excellent we were escorted to our garden studio and informed of our dinner / breakfast arrangements. We was accompanied by our dog who was also welcomed.
Our studio was very well equipped with even a cushion, blanket and bowl for our dog. However the patio doors opened onto a lovely enclosed area which could have done with a jet wash and some decent garden furniture.
I booked a session at the pool which I thought would be a spa pool but turned out to be a normally heated pool (quite cool) which I m afraid could have done with a good clean, although water was clear the tiles around the edge had some black mould which was off putting and subsequently I cut short my session.
Meals at the Rosevine were very well presented however evening meal choice was a little limited. Breakfast menu was excellent with many choices. Service was impeccable even our dog was offered treats!
On balance although the pool was a bit of a disappointment the wonderful gardens and proximity to a lovely beach, and the welcome we had means we would definitely consider a short break at the Rosevine again in the future.

Great hotel

NU, Bristol, stayed: February 2023

Very good for a few days. Lovely warm room, dressing gowns, pool (needs to be booked ahead). Very good food though quite rich. On the coast path for walking. Walking distance to pub crossing the local beach. Was not happy when our door key was left on the front counter - but clearly things are not so risky as in Bristol where we live.

Lovely stay

Evelyn W, Hertfordshire, stayed: September 2022

We stayed at the Rosevine for a 5 night break after a very hectic summer. The hotel was very welcoming and the staff couldn t be more helpful. The room was very well equipped and clean. A lovely view from our balcony overlooking the sea and the gardens. The food was very good although if we d eaten in the hotel every night we would have to repeat some choices as the menu was quite limited and remained the same all the time. The only criticism of our room was that it was impossible to watch the tv from the sofa and the bathroom was quite tight. Saying that we would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and plan to return.

A Very Relaxing Break

NN, Somerset, stayed: September 2022

We wanted a relaxing break. The position of the hotel, plus the welcoming and helpful staff, ensured we got just that.

The sea-view is 5 Star and the well-kept garden allows guests to take advantage of it to the full. Our studio room with a sea-view was spacious and comfortable, the bed especially so. We did not use the mini-kitchen but it would have been of great use to a family wanting a microwaved snack now and then.

The restaurant is well placed and overlooks the coast. The food was quite acceptable with adequate menu choice. Lots to do in the local area for adults and children.

Given its location, there is potential for the hotel to develop its offer and standard. We have no plans to return to this area of Cornwall. However, should that change, we would most definitely certainly consider a return stay.

Beautiful boutique hotel

Judy, London, stayed: July 2022

Beautiful boutique hotel with genuinely friendly and helpful staff. We were upgraded to a large room with a sea view because it was our 50th wedding anniversary and they gave us each a free glass of champagne before our dinner. We also had a lovely welcome card in the room. These personal touches were VERY much appreciated. The location of the hotel is superb with well cared for gardens and it is about 10 minutes walk from an amazing beach. The car chargers also came as a very welcome surprise as we have an electric vehicle. We would definitely like to visit again.
