A comfortable relaxing retreat.

Michael, Dorset, stayed: March 2023

A lovely location and very friendly and helpful staff. Very big room with large comfortable bed and luxurious bedding. Room was slightly dark and paintwork in en-suite needs attention. Food in restaurant was excellent and service good although on 2nd night there was a hen party group who were quite loud and made it hard to have a conversation.

Cozy and relaxing hotel with wonderful staff

Anon, stayed: March 2023

We stayed for two nights and had a great time - the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious! We enjoyed our stay so much we added an extra night at the end. My only pointer would be that the pool (which was great to have on site) was a little cold when we visited so we didn t want to spend much time in it. In room treatments the Germaine the massage therapist were wonderful.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food is excellent,we had a courtyard room which was a little tired in places and didn't get warm enough unfortunately even though staff came over to try and help. It is very rustic in decor and a little dark in some rooms.

This hotel got everything just right! Thoroughly recommended.

Couldn't fault this lovely country hotel. The room was clean, spacious and relaxing. The food was outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is good - in the country yet within walking distance of Bradford on Avon (15-20 minute walk). Also the train journey from Bradford on Avon to Bath takes about 12 minutes which made it easy to visit Bath for a day trip without the need for the car. We didn't have time to use the swimming pool but it looked great. Hopefully next time!

Short break at Widbrook Grange

AH, Hertfordshire, stayed: February 2023

Great welcome on arrival we were shown to our room which was outside the main building. Room was spacious furnished in distress style very clean with comfortable bed and wonderful pillows. Bathroom was amazing beautiful large roll top bath and separate large rainfall shower, beautiful large white fluffy towels and good quality complimentary toiletries.
We ate in restaurant on the first night, food was excellent. Only criticism was cost of cheese board which we felt was very overpriced for the amount of cheese you had. We had breakfast both days, unfortunately on the first morning we arrived at a busy time and waited over 30 mins to have our order taken! There only appeared to be 1 waiter trying to do everything. However when breakfast arrived it was excellent. Following morning we timed things differently and had no issues. Amazing gin bar which is pricey but knowledge of gins and what to pair with was a gin masterclass, so this made up for it. Plenty of cosy areas to sit and have a drink in. 2nd night we ate at a tapas restaurant in Bradford called Pablos this was exceptional. We would definitely recommend Widbrook Grange. We had also had to change our booking from original date due to illness, this was done very effectively too.

Lovely

CH, Buckinghamshire, stayed: February 2023

We had a lovely couple of days. Excellent dog friendly hotel. Reggie enjoyed his breakfast sausage!
I commend the attentive restaurant and bar staff. Only slight bug bare was we were left waiting in Reception on arrival for 20 minutes, understood it was busy but there was no apology given. But overall staff were great, hotel quirky, and location great for a dog friendly walk into Bradford on Avon

Birthday break

Anon, stayed: January 2023

We enjoyed our stay, room was lovely, very hot on arrival but we turned radiators down. Had to ask about pool/gym we were show round and used the pool only downside was swimming lessons which hadn t been mentioned. Restaurant lacked charm and character, food was good but more choice would have been nice. We were left a bit disappointed as took a while for drinks order to arrive, beer arrived and waitress slipped and it went all over me, I had to go and get changed, wine arrived after we were served our main course. I know accidents happen but felt we shouldn t have been charged for the drinks. All in all a charming hotel. Gin bar was amazing.
