Disappointing

Anon, stayed: November 2018

I had booked this weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had dinner included in the package but we received only half of the party's main courses, the wine arrived when we had nearly finished our meals, and the dessert was melted when it arrived and the ice cream we ordered for our son was dairy not sorbet as they had advised (he has dairy intolerance). We were not charged for the items we did not receive but when we went to check out the next morning the charges were on the bill and there was no formal apology which was disappointing given the meal was not how we had expected to celebrate this occasion.

Really relaxing break

PC, Kent, stayed: September 2018

The hotel is really relaxing and a pleasant atmosphere. The only slight issue we had was breakfast on the Sunday was very chaotic and wanted meals being forgotten and unwanted meals being prepared.
Other than that a very restful time.

Disappointing

Anon, stayed: August 2018

An expensive and disappointing stay. Our room was classified as deluxe but only had standard double bed and not much floor space (we stayed elsewhere following this visit in a classic room yet we had a super king bed and much more room for half the price!) the cream tea was extremely disappointing, heavy claggy scones not at all pleasant. Our dinner that evening was acceptable but as for the head waiter, well, he was in a panic and running in the restaurant, not at all professional.  The breakfast however exceeded our expectations and there was everything one could need.

very good value

Kathleen, Staffordshire, stayed: August 2016

We recently stayed in the Woodlands and found the hotel very warm and welcoming. Staff were very helpful. The first room that we were given was very small but they did offer us an alternative that was more than adequate. Downfall was the bathroom, if you were slightly on the plump side you wouldnt fit in and every time you went through the door you would bang your side as the sink was too near to the opening. Apart from that everything else was fine. The food in the restaurant was very good and we liked that they also had a bistro so if you were staying more than one night you had a good choice. Found the whole experience good value for money and would definitely stay again.
