Our selections for both A La Carte and daily menus specially feature seasonal local farms and county produce such as the reintroduction of Aylesbury Duck on the menu, together with our own Hartwell Orchards and Garden fruit, vegetables and herbs to bring the freshest of ingredients to enhance all the true flavours for the dishes we prepares for the table. We offer lunch on Wednesday – Saturday with a Seasonal Bill of Fare two-course menu for £27, a three-course menu for £35 and a three-course Sunday lunch for £39.  Seasonal dinner starts at £45 and Bill of Fare £53, both for two courses.

In addition to dining in the main house, we offer guests the option of a more informal, all day dining option daily at the Hartwell Café, situated on the first floor of the Hartwell Rooms some 150 yards from the main house. Also available are private dining rooms for that special event, while room service can be delivered to your individual room or suite. Of course, no meal is complete without a glass of fine wine. We had a great stay at Hartwell House, staying and dining at a National Trust property is quite special. A luxury mini holiday, very convenient for our dogs with quick access to the garden out the back door of our suite.

Highly Recommend

PF, Berkshire, stayed: September 2018

From the moment we were welcomed by David at the entrance we knew we were in for a treat and we were not disappointed. Loved the personal touches, including the water and homemade shortbread in our room (which was spacious and had everything we needed).

The grounds are simply beautiful, immaculately kept and lovely to take a walk around.

Food at the restaurant was excellent, one of the best steaks I've had, with excellent service too.

Weekend away

Lynn, Bedfordshire, stayed: August 2018

Staff could not have been better. Fabulous weekend celebrating our birthdays. Only slight disappointment was the length of the treatment in the spa. I have never had the walking time and form filing included in the treatment time but saying that massage was lovely.
