Not impressed

Caroline, Merseyside, stayed: December 2024

this was our second stay at the hotel. our food was cold, no waiter to ask for help, had to walk into reception carrying my plate with meal on it to ask for it to be warmed up. initially, we waited almost 45 minutes for our meal after we ordered. another guest complained about his meal and the waiter was arguing with him..not a nice experience at all

Weekend Break

Lovely location and very nice hotel with good quality food and restaurant service really nice; there was a slight problem being billed incorrectly although this was sorted after an additional, return telephone call.

Everything from check in was great, the staff were mostly a great help. Nothing was too much bother.
The room was charming and cosy everything you needed was at hand. Loved the evening meal, all the food and service were spot on.

We were on a four day break and just wanted to relax. The staff were wonderful couldn t do enough for us from the minute we checked in. The restaurant had views over the lake and was very pleasant to sit and enjoy the excellent food.
Housekeeping was excellent and it was a joy to retire to our room in the evening.

Fabulous location and Food

Anon, stayed: August 2024

We only stayed for one night on our journey back from Scotland. The hotel was in a wonderful location right in the centre of Bowness. We had lake view rooms which were lovely. The food in the hotel was exceptional!!! We had dinner in the evening and we all agreed it was the best meal we d eaten during our whole holiday!! After that we were definitely looking forward to breakfast and breakfast proved to be fabulous too. Would definitely recommend the hotel and love to stay there again. The staff were all very helpful, welcoming and friendly. I left my handbag in the restaurant by accident and as soon I got back to the room they had noticed it and brought it up for me . We would love to go back when the weather was better as it was pouring down ( August) and we didn t get to walk around the town .
