Beautiful location
The hotel was very good. The only reason I haven't given it an Excellent rating is that the parking situation is very difficult due to Bibury being so popular with tourists.
Initially the receptionist wasn't terrribly helpful, but the manager was really good and found us a parking space elsewhere.
Apart from the parking difficulties, we had an stay at the hotel
A lovely relaxing break
We had a lovely stay at The Swan. It was our 31st wedding anniversary. The staff were lovely, especially Shanaya, who went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience and shared lots of local knowledge with us. The food was very nice and of good quality with decent sized portions. We got an upgrade with our room which was very nice and just right for us. Lots of lovely local walks. Overall, we had a lovely relaxing stay and would definitely stay at The Swan again if in the area.
Wonderful short break
Beautiful hotel, excellent food, kind helpful staff.only downside was lack of parking and it was a bit isolated. But for a gourmet experience it was fantastic.
Lovely location, super stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Great view from our comfortable room, superb food and service in the restaurant. Thankyou to all
Reflections on our two night break.
Although we had problems with our room, which were eventually, were enjoyed our stay.
The restaurant was excellent ,food of a very high standard.
Would happily stay again
Really good stay and would stay again. Some comments : - staff and customer service very good. Room could have been improved by addition of fridge to cool our champagne for our b day celebration, evening staff 10stars, breakfast staff could improve, breakfast coffee on first day was poor and no offer to replace. Food overall was excellent. Car parking inadequate.
Swan at Bibury
Restaurant was very expensive, with rather limited choices. Meal of 2 mains and one dessert including wine was around 150, less the 70 in the deal. Service at 10% was slapped on the whole restaurant bill, including the 70 credit. It was removed at our request on leaving.
We ordered an afternoon tea . We expected it to be the one included in the Offer. It turned out to cost 55 for the two of us. No-one explained the difference between a cream tea and an afternoon tea. However we were given a credit of 24 towards the overpriced offering.
Highly recommend The Swan
Had a great mid week break at The Swan. It has a great setting in a beautiful Cotswold village, the food was excellent and the staff were most accommodating. We will return
