Old Coaching Inn
The Talbot Ripley has history in spades, and the restaurant has been upgraded tastefully. The rooms we stayed in are in a block separate from the Inn complex which is a modern addition, they are however a little tired and could do with a makeover. The bar staff and dining staff are all young and very efficient and friendly, a credit to the hotel.

Not As Cosy As Expected
Was really looking forward to a wintry, cosy stay with our dog but was disappointed that lounge area was cold and just putting the real log fire on would have made such a difference. We ate in the bar area and once again, fire was left to go out and we felt unable to approach anyone as the staff were so busy.
Meal we felt was expensive for the quality.
Enjoyable but with disappointment.
We were welcomed
to the hotel by the friendly receptionist but 2 things we learnt w
ere incorrect was that no car parking space would be available even for the expensive book ing. On arrival we found that there indeed was a car parking space was available
. However.....
Only Fried breakfast was incorrect but disappointed that there was not a bottle of water available in the Inn is far superior!!
Don't know what was so special about this room as having stayed a number of years before,we frankly failed to see what was different and extra for the money??
A shower curtain and some basic toiletries would have been expected too!
An extremely disappointing stay for the cost.Premier Inn is far superior. I very much look forward to receiving a rapid response. No l
Great stay
Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely place with a lot of character. Food was amazing.
Contented aged people!
Visited RHS Wisley - very convenient. Comfortable stay and a good deal all round. We have stayed before and would happily do so again. Easy car parking which is essential.
Talbot hotel
Nice area, room and food, but we didn t get the presecco which was part of the deal, and breakfast a fiasco when they ran out of both plates and bowls, nobody asked about tea/coffee, our table offered to another couple while we stood waiting for plates, then food took ages to replenish meaning another wait
