We really enjoyed our stay. The food was great with local dishes available. Very friendly staff. Super room with views over Ribble Valley. Only negative - there was no lift, but would definitely stay there again.

Pleasant visit but.......

Ten of us had our annual get-together at The Higher Trapp.
The stay was very good but two things were not.
One - as all of us are aged 70 plus we could have done with a lift. Install a lift.
Two - the staff in the restaurant and bar were very helpful but there were not enough of them.
On the first night I counted 23 people in the dining room - but throughout thecourse of our dinner there was often no one behind the bar for periods of time up to 5 minutes.
When studying the reviews before our visist I noticed that the lack of bar staff hed been mentioned previously. The response to the complaint was that something would be done about it. It obviously hasn't been done. Employ more staff particularly more bar staff and send them on a training course beforehand.
