Carrier's Restaurant

Hintlesham Hall's restaurant ranks independently in the top 10% in the country, offering wonderful menus and an award-winning wine list, all in a splendid setting.

Smart casual attire is requested when dining in our restaurant and we discourage jeans and trainers.

Many of the dishes include fresh herbs from the Hall's famous garden and utilise local produce where possible.

Hintlesham Hall and the highly regarded “Carrier’s" restaurant are drenched in rich history spanning across multiple decades and continents thanks to its original founder "Robert Carrier" who can only be compared to a modern-day celebrity chef.

Lighting

Simon, Rutland, stayed: January 2020

While it is nice to have relaxing lighting, this was overdone at Hintlesham. The overhead lighting in high ceilings gave an austere atmosphere. The lighting from table and standard lights, while meant to be "soft and low" were so dim that it was difficult to read a paper or a book! The combination of all of this gave an almost funerial feel to everything! Things improved when we requested a couple of standard lamps for our room!

Hotel and room fabulous, not actually a spa they have treatments but not available when we was there in a Tuesday ! And just to use the outside hot tub they wanted to charge 20 per person ! Which I think is too much !
Also table water was 4.00 !
Would I go back ... NO
There s not enough there

Fabulous restaurant

KH, Essex, stayed: October 2019

We booked the bed, dinner b & b package which was good value for money.
The highlight for us was the exquisite dining experience that was as good as you can get.
My wife used the spa facilities and enjoyed that too. My only thumbs down was the accommodation
which is in need of redecoration to a higher standard and the bathroom that is in need of modernisation, particularly the shower.
