The Millstone Hare

The Millstone Hare offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, where friendly bar staff and welcoming regulars create a sociable and comfortable setting. Guests can settle into one of the many cosy areas with a pint or a glass of wine, unwind, and enjoy views across the surrounding country park in which the thatched tavern is set.

The pub also features a well-maintained beer garden and BBQ area, ideal for enjoying a cocktail, a pint of real ale, or a traditional pub lunch in the fresh air while taking in the scenery. As a family-friendly establishment, there is ample space for children to stretch their legs—whether after a car journey or while making the most of a sunny day dining at the pub restaurant.

Dogs are welcome to dine with you.

Set within a 600-acre country estate renowned worldwide for the equestrian sport of polo, the Millstone Hare enjoys a unique and picturesque location. The pub is situated close to one of the estate's polo grounds, where matches are often held, making it a popular attraction for visitors. Guests can also experience a variety of equestrian displays at the SuperArena®, further enhancing the appeal of this distinctive setting.

As you walk into the entrance you are greeted with traditional church pews which have been salvaged from a local church. The church had to modernise their interior in order to be able to accommodate disabled visitors. The church was throwing the pews out, so Dr Dallas Burston (owner) made a donation towards the churches renovations, in exchange for the pews.

It was vital to the design of the pub to be accessible to all both downstairs and upstairs. There is a generous lift for wheel chairs, with disabled access toilets on both floors. There is easy access to all the terraces, and balconies.

Each door you go through in The Millstone Hare has its own story, and has been salvaged from old farmhouses within Warwickshire. All carefully rubbed down, and restored to their former glory.

Keep a keen eye on the interior decoration within the pub, you will notice that the wallpaper has been specially sourced and printed in America for a British company that specialises in paper for the leisure industry. In sections of the pub you can notice the wallpaper change slightly in colour tone. This clever attention to detail is to give the feel as with many old pubs, of when the pubs have been extended over the years.
