Discount not allowed

DH, Cheshire, stayed: June 2025

Part of the break included 20% off wines by the bottle which we did not receive. At check out this was pointed out and an assurance given that a refund would be credited. Despite sending an email with a copy to yourselves pointing this out neither a credit or even a reply has been received.
We were not advised in advance that scaffolding was erected outside our bedroom window.

Our special night away

IF, South Yorkshire, stayed: May 2025

As soon as we had parked the car, there was a gentleman there to collect our luggage. Walking into reception was a pleasure. Light and airy, and a most charming young lady to check us in. We were taken to our room which was really lovely. The view from the window wasn't very nice, but the room made up for it. The location is perfect and you are a short walk from the shops, and the edge of lake windermere. Buses seem to run very frequently to many destinations, and we cannot wait for the chance to stay here again.

Myself & My Husband visited. We had not booked through the hotel. We went through a third party.
Hotel needs a bit of TLC, but we enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and Professional.
We were just a bit upset that we were not aware of the cost of the car park.
We were not told by the third party or when we booked in about this charge,

Disapointing

Jacqueline, Lanarkshire, stayed: April 2025

Exterior doors ro garden were covered with cobwebs and months of dirt, in addition bottom door sill was filthy, we mentioned this to receptionist on checking out.
As we had a dog we decided to have our meal outside in the garden as we were only allowed in bar with our dog, bad decision as we were pestered with seagulls and gave leaving our meal unfinished.

Location is fantastic and good choice of breakfast in a dining room accessible to dog

A nice 2 night break

Michael, Lancashire, stayed: April 2025

We had a nice 2 night stay but I object to paying 15 per night for parking, when it is free if you book direct with the hotel.

Stay at the Belsfield Hotel

Anon, stayed: March 2025

On the day we were due to arrive scaffolding was being erected so we were upgraded to another hotel nearby ( The lakes hotel and spa ) this was excellent.
On our arrival at the Belsfield we were told of a 15 car park charge per night. Although we were informed this was in the small print it must have been very small. I do not recall it in the booking information through country hotel breaks. This really would have influenced our decision to stay at the hotel and I would have preferred to put this money towards an upgrade. As a result we chose not to spend any money in the hotel and only ate the very good breakfast that was included.
The room was standard and dated but comfortable. The lounges and restaurant were pleasing. The location was excellent.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the best part of our stay.

Excellent location, hotel warm and staff friendly and helpful

Kevin G, Leicestershire, stayed: March 2025

The hotel is in an excellent location and easy access to both the lake and town. Although It was warm and clean I feel the whole hotel could do with a bit of TLC, having said that we enjoyed our stay there and would definitely consider it again.
One other point I was a little disappointed with was having to pay 15 per night to park my car. I understand why this is the case (no doubt many people staying don't arrive in cars) but 15 !!!
