History of the hotel
Built in 1673 with a history stretching back to the days when smuggling thrived along the coast, the inn was once known as Plaish House and quickly became a favourite meeting spot for local fisherman, thanks to its enviable position overlooking the River Avon.

Dogs Policy
Dog friendly rooms available at an extra charge of £20 per dog per night. Maximum of 2 dogs per room.
There are plenty of walks in the New Forest for you and your poooch to enjoy. Also a short drive to the beach for an ince cream and a swim!
They allow dogs in the bar and dining areas but never to be left alone in the accommodation and they are not allowed on furniture.

The nine Deluxe Doubles represent a great base for exploring the New Forest. Delightfully decorated, these rooms feature a desk, iron, tea and coffee facilities and telephone and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. There's a flatscreen TV too, providing entertainment in the evening after a long day in the countryside.
