An excellent stay

The hotel was fantastic. Welcoming staff, beautiful rooms. We enjoyed the restaurant, wine tasting and spa. Couldn't fault it.

Weekend Getaway

Beautiful and stylish hotel with many comforts and welcoming touches. Excellent breakfast and welcoming staff. Only disappointment was the quality of the food in the restaurant. Possibly due to Valentine s special menu taking up time in the kitchen. We have stayed at The Barnsdale and the food there was excellent . We cancelled one of our restaurant bookings because of this.

Lovely spa and rooms. Bistro was poor

Lovely hotel with excellent rooms and a wonderful space.
The bistro restaurant was poor. Booked a table and were told to wait as table not available. 30 minutes later after other people just walked in and got a table we complained and got seated 5 mins later. The really annoying factor after that was people who then arrived some time after us getting serviced first. Food was average but poor value. Ruined the evening and they didn't care as we complained on check out and heard nothing. For 500 stay was not good enough.
