The grounds
Originally a dairy farm, today The Dinney is run by Karen, whose parents, Sam and Margaret, started the business in the 1990s. Back then, they converted a traditional tithe barn into three cottages called Cart, Duck and Drake. Over the years, these have been joined by two larger cottages, Kingfisher, sleeping 14, and The Rookery, which sleeps 20.
The cottages and farmhouse b&b are surrounded by 150 acres of private farmland, where sheep, cattle and horses graze peacefully, while hens and ducks enjoy the run of the grounds and Pip, our dog, likes to welcome everyone. The farm operates a 'Countryside Stewardship scheme', avoiding intensive farming methods, and giving special attention to the preservation of natural habitats and wildlife. It's a really special place and we love to share it with you.
